Edge protection is part of the layout
Stair openings, loading positions, conveyors, pallet movement and maintenance access create interruptions in the perimeter. These should be resolved in the design rather than patched after installation.

Pallet loading gates
A loading gate should prevent an exposed edge during pallet transfer. The gate type, opening, headroom and forklift approach must suit the pallet and operating method.

Choose guarding or a loading gate that keeps the edge protected through the transfer cycle and is simple enough to be used correctly.
